NOW TAKING ON NEW PROJECTS

MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT

Keep your livesoftware current, secure and running.

We keep your software running with bug fixes, updates, backups and security checks, and we plan and add new features. We also take over systems built by other teams.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Which of these sounds familiar?

Software isn't finished on launch day; that's where the real work starts. Here is what people who come to us for maintenance say most often.

“The company that built our software has disappeared.”

01Software takeover

We review the code, the server, the accounts and the open issues, and share where things stand in a written report. We gather the access details, write up the missing documents and take over maintenance.

  • Code and infrastructure review
  • Gathering access and accounts
  • Risk and priority report
  • Missing documentation
  • Step-by-step improvement plan

“There are bugs on our site, but nobody is looking after it.”

02Bug fixing

We log bugs, rank them by importance, then fix, test and release. We also deal with the root cause so the same bug doesn't come back.

  • Bug logging and tracking
  • Prioritization
  • Fixes and testing
  • Error monitoring tools
  • Root cause analysis

“Our app got a warning that it will be removed from the store.”

03Platform & library updates

We follow Apple's and Google's new rules, operating system releases and updates to the libraries you use. We make your app compliant before a warning arrives.

  • Store requirements
  • iOS and Android version compatibility
  • Library updates
  • Security patches
  • Compatibility testing

“We don't know when anyone last checked the server.”

04Monitoring, backups & security

We monitor the health of the server and the application, and check that backups are being taken and can be restored. We regularly review SSL, access and updates.

  • Uptime and resource monitoring
  • Backup checks
  • SSL and domain tracking
  • Access review
  • Security updates
More: Database & server infrastructure

“We want new features, but they never get done.”

05Planned development

We collect requests in one list, prioritize them with you, and release them in small versions at regular intervals. You know what's coming and when.

  • Request list
  • Prioritization meetings
  • Regular releases
  • Previews in a test environment
  • Release notes

“We want to see what's being done.”

06Reporting

We share completed work, open issues, system status and next steps in regular reports. It's clear how much time went into what.

  • Regular status report
  • List of completed work
  • Open issues and risks
  • System health summary
  • Next steps

WHAT WE CAN DO

The six layers of maintenance.

Users only see that the system works without problems. Underneath are layers from code to reporting, and the same team runs all of them.

  1. 01

    Code review

The state of the code, dependencies and architecture; risks and technical debt.

  2. 02

    Bug tracking

Logging, prioritization, fixes and testing; error monitoring tools.

  3. 03

    Updates

Operating system, store, library and security updates.

  4. 04

    Monitoring & backups

Server and application monitoring, backup and restore checks.

  5. 05

    Development

Request list, prioritization and regular small releases.

  6. 06

    Reporting

Completed work, open issues and system health; a regular report.

PROCESS

Idea to Launch
in Four Steps

You see what we're doing at every step. No surprises, a clear timeline.

Let's Start Your Project
//01

Discovery & Scope

Together we pin down the need, the target user and what success looks like, then put the scope and timeline in writing.

//02

Design & Architecture

We plan the screen flows, the interface and the technical architecture, and we don't start coding until you approve them.

//03

Build & Test

We ship working versions at short intervals, test every step and show it to you.

//04

Launch & Support

We take it live, or onto the App Store, Google Play or Steam, and keep maintaining and improving it.

We set response times together in the maintenance agreement, with separate times for urgent and normal work.

Bug fixes, updates, security patches, backup and monitoring checks, and regular reports. We define the exact scope together based on your system.

We recommend that the accounts stay in your company's name; we work as authorized users.
